Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Lin Weixing, an individual based in mainland China, runs MemeHatch and is responsible for your information. For any privacy question or request, email support@memehatch.app.

2. What we collect

• Account information: your email address and when you signed in. If you sign in with Google, Google also shares your name and profile picture with us; we don’t use them for anything else.
• Photos you upload and the videos we make from them.
• Order information: order number, status, price, payment status and the order and session IDs from our payment provider. We never receive your full card number.
• Messages you send us, for example by email.
• Technical information: IP address, browser type and request logs kept by our hosting providers to run and protect the service.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to return you to the right page after signing in. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.

3. How we use it

We don’t send marketing emails. We send only the emails needed to sign you in and to deal with your orders and requests.

4. How your photo is handled

When you choose a photo, it is uploaded to private storage in your account. We convert it to a JPEG and remove its metadata, such as location. A smaller copy is then sent to Google Gemini 2.5 Flash, through fal.ai and OpenRouter, to check that it shows a pet and no people. If the check fails, the photo is deleted right away.

After you pay, the photo is sent through fal.ai to Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro by Kuaishou to make your video. The finished video is copied to private storage in your account. Before you can see it, fal.ai takes three still frames from it, and the same model checks them through OpenRouter. Only you can open it, through links that expire after 10 minutes.

We keep the result of each check (for example “passed” or “person found”) with your order, so we can handle reports and appeals. We don’t keep rejected photos or videos.

Our AI providers process photos to provide their service to us, under their own terms, and may keep temporary copies. We don’t use your photos or videos to train AI models, and we don’t publish them.

5. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, including as “sale” is defined under laws such as the CCPA. We share it only with the service providers that run MemeHatch for us:

Waffo Pancake processes your card details on its own PCI-DSS certified checkout; they never reach our servers. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

You can ask us to show you, correct, delete or send you a copy of your information, or object to how we use it. Email support@memehatch.app from the address you sign in with, so we can confirm it’s you. We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, private storage, links that expire and access controls that limit who can reach your data. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. International transfers

We store your information in the United States. Some providers, including the makers of the AI models, may process it in other countries. Where the law requires, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

MemeHatch is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, email support@memehatch.app and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We’ll post any changes on this page with a new date. For important changes, we’ll email you at least 14 days before they take effect.
