Terms of Service

1. Who we are

MemeHatch (“MemeHatch”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Lin Weixing, an individual based in mainland China. You can reach us at support@memehatch.app.

2. The service

MemeHatch is an online service that turns one photo of a pet into a short AI-generated video in the style of the Skull Cap trend. You sign in with your email, upload a photo, pay at checkout and receive an MP4 video of about 10 seconds in your account, usually within a few minutes. Videos have no sound.

Videos are made with Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro by Kuaishou. Photos, and every finished video before you see it, are checked with Google Gemini 2.5 Flash. Both run on fal.ai. We may change these providers to keep the service working; we’ll update this page if we do.

MemeHatch currently makes videos of pets only. Photos that show people are not accepted.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use MemeHatch. You sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email address. Keep access to that email or Google account secure: you are responsible for what happens in your account.

4. Price and payment

Each video costs $4.99, paid once at checkout. There is no subscription, nothing renews and there are no credits. Prices are in US dollars, and any tax is shown at checkout before you pay.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Waffo Pancake. Waffo Pancake is the merchant of record for all our orders: it sells the video to you, collects any tax that applies, issues your receipt and handles payments, refunds and chargebacks. Your payment is also subject to Waffo Pancake’s terms shown at checkout.

We start making your video as soon as your payment is confirmed.

5. Refunds and cancellation

• If we can’t make your video, or the finished video doesn’t pass our content check, we try again automatically. If it still fails, or it isn’t ready within 6 hours, we refund your $4.99 in full to your original payment method within 2 business days. You don’t need to ask.
• If your finished video is defective — for example, it won’t play, it is cut off, or it doesn’t show the animal from your photo — email support@memehatch.app within 7 days with your order number (it starts with MH-). We’ll make it again or refund you in full.
• If you’re charged twice for the same video, we refund the extra charge.
• Otherwise, because each video is made for you as soon as you pay and delivered digitally, a finished video that works as described can’t be refunded just because you don’t like how it looks. AI results vary from photo to photo.
• Your right to cancel. Where the law gives you a right to cancel a digital purchase, you ask us to start making your video straight away, and you agree that this right ends once the video is delivered. This does not affect the refunds above or any other rights you have by law.
• Cancelling an order. There’s nothing to cancel before you pay: unpaid drafts are never charged. Once you’ve paid, generation starts immediately and can’t be stopped.

Refunds are paid through Waffo Pancake. Depending on your bank, it can take 5–10 business days to appear.

6. Billing problems

If something about a charge looks wrong, please email support@memehatch.app before disputing it with your bank. We reply within 2 business days and fix confirmed errors within 5 business days.

7. Your photos and videos

You keep all rights you have in the photos you upload. You give us permission to store, process and copy them, and to send them to our providers, only to check the photo, make your video and run the service. We don’t use your photos or videos to train AI models.

When you upload a photo, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, that it shows an animal and no people, and that it follows our Acceptable Use Policy.

As between you and us, you own the videos made for you, to the extent the law allows, and you may use them for personal sharing, including on social media. Because videos are made by AI, similar-looking videos may be made for other people, and we can’t promise that a video is unique or can be protected by copyright.

8. Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. It explains what isn’t allowed, how we check photos and how to report a video.

9. Suspension and termination

We may refuse an order, remove content or suspend or close your account if you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we suspect fraud or abuse, or if the law requires it. If we close your account for any other reason, we refund any paid video we haven’t delivered.

You can stop using MemeHatch at any time. To delete your account, photos and videos, email support@memehatch.app from the address you sign in with.

10. AI-generated results

Videos are generated by AI and can vary. Your pet may look somewhat different, and details such as fur, background or clothing may change. Every video is AI-generated: don’t present one as real footage.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Except for the promises we make in these terms, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that the service will always be available or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without taking away protections you have under the laws of the country where you live. If you have a dispute with us, please email support@memehatch.app first so we can try to resolve it informally.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new date. For important changes, we’ll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using MemeHatch after that, the new terms apply.
